Aurora Borealis over Mt. Denali, Alaska. The tallest peak in North America lies in the central Alaska Range inside Denali National Park. An immerse swirl of northern lights seems to crown the summit, while the full moon rising in the east brightens the forest above the Chulitna River. This incredible light show varied in intensity and color and lasted just two hours before clouds out of the south rapidly covered the sky. Photographers snapped pictures as fast as they could to catch the everchanging patterns in the sky.
