Polar Bear Playfight, Arctic #19034
$25.00 – $255.00
Description
Polar bears are classified as marine mammals because they spend most of their lives on the frozen ocean or in the open water between ice floes. Polar bears are normally solitary and rarely come together outside of breeding season. On occasion, unrelated bears will congregate near food sources. If enough food is available to prevent severe confrontations, playfighting may occur between similar sized animals. Although bears are largely white, in reality their coats are yellow often stained by the oil of their main prey, ice seals. Like terrestrial bears, polar bears carry the scars from breeding battles and other conflicts.
