Muskox Bulls Arctic Autumn Tundra #4694

Description

Two bull muskox face off on the autumn arctic tundra. Both sexes of muskox have horns but the horns of bulls are larger and heavier than those of cows.  The base of the horns of bulls is called a “boss” which nearly spans the entire forehead. Their stout horn bases are used in intense head-butting battles. During the autumn rut, bull muskox court cows and can be very aggressive in that defense.
