Description
A full curl Dall sheep ram in mid-summer, Alaska Range Mountains. By early-summer, sheep have molted from their thick winter coats to a thin hair coat which keeps them cool in the treeless alpine. Rams graze all summer and gain weight, and fat, in preparation for the approaching winter. The largest rams are dominant and determine their ranking by head-butting battles.
