Cathedral Mountain in autumn, elevation 4685′, is a prominent peak along the Denali National Park Road and looms over Igloo Creek. Cathedral was named by Charles Sheldon in 1906, a pioneer naturalist and one of the forces behind creation of Mt. McKinley National Park, the forerunner of Denali.
