Bull Moose Winter Alaska, #8675

Bull Moose Winter Alaska, #8675

A bull moose travels through a snowy willow thicket.  Food is scarce in winter Alaska and access to dried plants, like willows, is vital for a moose’s survival. It takes a lot of feed to sustain a 1000-pound moose during the days of deep snow, extreme cold, and high winds. The elements take a toll of young moose and old bulls.
