Bald Eagle, Summer Alaska, #2477
$25.00 – $255.00
Description
A bald eagle rests in the wildflowers that line a salmon stream on the Alaska Peninsula. When salmon are running, eagles congregate along the streams and feed on both live salmon and dead, spawned-out fish. The abundant protein provides plenty of food for eaglets in nests in nearby trees or on rocky prominences. Eagles will nest on the ground in treeless areas, such as the Aleutian Islands.
