Description
During an autumnal rutting battle, two prime bull moose locked their antlers together and were unable to break apart. How long it took the struggling animals to die is undetermined. Perhaps the bulls died of exhaustion, but maybe wolves or grizzlies came upon the helpless animals. A grim scenario. The animals were found by hikers on the tundra near Moose Creek in Denali National Park. Wolves, bears, foxes, and wolverine, plus ravens and magpies dined on the remains.
