Description
A Canada lynx kitten, one of three kittens, follows her mother through the first snow of late autumn in Denali National Park. Snowshoe hares were numerous in the thickets the lynx family traversed and no doubt kept the lynx well fed. Between one and four lynx kittens are born in each litter in spring. If prey is scarce, many die the following winter.
